A Story of Sight

There is no match for the color of nature. The brown leaves, the pink flowers, the tan feline. This is only a small fraction of colors the natural produces. Imagine not seeing these colors, to see everything like a black and white movie, if you can see. There are some prescriptions and medicines that can help maintain some of these colors if your visual impairment is not too severe. The trouble is the affording of such luxuries could be dubious.
Unfortunately, the percentage of blind and visual impairment people who cannot afford even these medicines is over fifty percent of the blind.
The subject of research on behalf of blindness is always an enigma. Just like any research for human ailments, it requires lots of dollars. Treatment and therapy are at the forefront of research studies for the blind. Studies have shown that protein and a combination of vitamins will stabilize the optic nerve in the eye connected with the blood flow. (www.opticnerveresearch.org) This makes the visually impaired very hopeful in respect to private donations and government grants. Research for macula degeneration is on-going. With this being the center of the eye, funding is the main priority keeping scientists and technicians developing and refining an injection which allows the blood vessels in the eye to expand. (www.MDsupport.org)
There are people who suffer with macula degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinitis pigmentosis every day. Funding will help the studies for these diseases.
There has been a blood shortage to your eye, things seem to darken as the days pass. You no longer can distinguish the features in the faces of your family and friends. Never having seen any light or features maybe someone else will give you a hand. Please use your credit card and give a contribution today.
