Helping Hands for the Blind East - code # 12469

Our goal is to help raise funds for people with vision impairment or blindness. HHB has focused its funding to assist
the blind and achieve these goals so they can return to their normal lives. HHB supports local agencies for people with
impaired vision and blindness so together and we can work to achieve our goal. All donations are tax deductible, so please
help us in our cause. |
How Funds Are Used:
Research for improved vision methods are a major concern. Recreation for young blind people (financing) counts on
public support. HHB helps to ease the hardships felt by the families of the visually impaired.
Money is also linked to education and scholarship programs coupled with braille usage and training. There are many
people with vision impairment and blindness located around you, so please contribute today.
Thank you!
Our Process for Transparent Donations
In my view, one of the greatest shortfalls concerning people with visual impairments is the inability
to afford assistive technology.
Video magnifiers, handheld digital viewers or speech software can cost several thousand dollars.
Even in a good economy it is difficult to find the resources for these types of devices.
Most of these assistive devices are not covered by insurance and for the older blind population financing
has been refused because of age.
Many blind people are living without the technology that would help them to be independent because they
simply cannot afford it.
Who cares? We all should care.
Please, make a tax deductible donation today and give the gift of independence!
